Proposed amendment to the constitution

Updated language, still some other cases we need to cover presidential tie, presidential less then 50%, pear group runoff tie

Dealing with unmaintained/deprecated/dead packages

Pepr proposals cleared automatically after 2 months of no activity

  • mj - Open feature request for cleaning out inactive pepr proposals
  • arnaud - Open feature request for making unmaintained packages more visible

Update the coding standard to class newline then brace class\n{

  • jeichorn - update manual with new language

PEAR2 Discussion

  • New name for updated installer, pyrus is the working name
  • Targets php5 >
  • Processing at packaging time not installation
  • phar friendly
  • Pyrus packages as a phar, no installtion needed
  • BC Break
  • Packages created with Pyrus wont work with 1.x installer
  • New PEAR Channel to distribute these (PHP5+) packages
  • A new channel gives us an opportunity to reinvent ourselves
  • Channel and Installer should have different names
  • New Channel needs some sort of new name
  • New Channel will move forward with svn

Creation of working groups to move projects forward

  • cellog, jeichorn - make some announcements that we're looking for help in some of these areas
